Grundarfjörður is a small town in the north of Snæfellsnes penisula.
Grundarfjörður is home to the famous Mt. Kirkjufell. This pretty little fishing village is the capital for whale watching tours on Snæfellsnes. Kayak trips are also offered here and there is a good choice of restaurants. The interesting stone sculptures of local artist Liston, can be seen dotted all over town.
