Grotta is a lighthouse located on the tip of Seltjarnarnes Peninsula, in a place that was declared a nature reserve in 1974. The lighthouse was built in 1897 and later, in 1947 was built another one close by. Lately, it became one of the most visited sites in Reykjavik area, being an amazing place for walking, biking or bird watching. Be aware of the fact that the lighthouse is accessible only during low tide. It is still visible from distance if you go there during high tide.
