There are two shopping centres in the city that provide warmth and comfort for your buying experience. If you are interested in international brands, the shopping centres Kringlan and Smáralind are the places to visit.
Kringlan Shopping Centre
Kringlan Shopping Centre in Reykjavík is located a 10-minute drive from the city centre. Smáralind Shopping Centre has around 90 stores and is located in Kópavogur, a 15-minute drive from the centre of Reykjavík. You will find a large variety of clothing stores, several specialty stores, restaurants and coffee houses as well as Iceland’s largest cinema. The 66°North clothing shop is also located here.
Smáratívolí, an indoor funpark and an award-winning childcare centre, is situated in Smáralind. Not only does it provide entertainment for the family, but it also offers safe child care for the kids while you enjoy your shopping.
Glerártorg in Akureyri
Glerártorg shopping centre is centrally located in Akureyri in the North East of Iceland and is therefore easy to find, easy to access and with plenty of parking space. There are 36 stores in Glerártorg which sell groceries, apparel & clothing, electronics, meals & entertainment, health and beauty, jewelry, clocks and watches. All you need under one roof.
